Men guilty of selling prosthetic for drug tests (AP)

AP - Two men whose company sold a device known as the Whizzinator that helped men cheat on drug tests have pleaded guilty in federal court in Pittsburgh. George Wills and Robert Catalano each pleaded guilty Monday to two conspiracy counts. They owned the California-based Internet company Puck Technology.

AP - The Secret Santa of the Garden State Parkway has struck again. Last year, someone surreptitiously hung nearly a dozen Christmas ornaments from the boughs of a huge pine tree along the side of the toll road in Little Egg Harbor Township.

Man wins 2 vehicles, Chiefs tickets in 10 days (AP)

AP - In a span of 10 days, a man learned he won two automobiles in separate contests. Michel Horton picked up his newest ride on Friday, a 2008 "Bon Jovi Special Edition" Saturn Outlook, at a dealership in Topeka. He was notified of the win on Oct. 15.

Plenty of takers for man's basement pile of coal (AP)

AP - A ton of coal was just taking up space in the basement of Steve Hronek's 90-year-old house, but to other people it was an alternative-fuel treasure. The knee-high pile of anthracite coal was down there in 1997 when Hronek bought the house, which once was heated with a low-tech coal-burning furnace.
