If it were possible to choose one sentence that encapsulates this last week’s events and the choice Americans have in this election, I think former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had it right when she asked during the Republican National Convention: “Where Does America Stand?” As tensions rise in the Middle East, more and more eyes turn toward Washington D.C. and await our reaction and stance on unfolding world events. They are waiting for us to lead. And not from behind. So what is the answer to Ms. Rice’s question?
