Burlington County truck fire leaves a firefighter seriously injured

At least one firefighter was injured today in a truck fire on Route 295 in Burlington County, New Jersey State Police said.The firefighter was injured responding to the fire in the southbound lanes in Florence Township, said Trooper Christopher Kay. The Breaking News Network said that six firefighters were injured, one sustaining serious head trauma. The seriously injured victim was taken by helicopter to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, the network said. It said the five others were taken to another hospital for evaluation. Kay said authorities were notified of the truck fire at 1:31 p.m. The blaze has been placed under control, the Breaking News Network said about an hour later.
