Last week the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development the Parisbased thinktank for Western governments proclaimed that "growth in the OECD area has resumed after the most virulent recession in decades". Its biannual Economic Outlook highlighted a "cautious return to growth" among OECD members - who include the US UK and all the "advanced economies".
